Ross farm will give you an idea of what a Nova Scotian farm was like 100 to 175 years ago, Ross Farm Museum is situated in 60 acres of land from the 800 acres given to Captain Ross, the property was purchased by the New Ross District Museum Society from the Ross family who have lived and worked on Ross Farm from 1816 to 1970. The people who are working at Ross Farm today are the descendants of early settlers, the aim of Rose Farm is give visitors an understanding about the land in past and also to provide a sense of pride in the rural heritage of Nova Scotia.
