This beach is long beautiful white sand beach which is not far away from Halifax, on this beach the Clam Harbour Sandcastle contest attracts thousands of viewers and hundreds of contestants, from early morning at 7:00am sand sculptors arrive at the beach to work as teams or as individual contestants. There is wide variety of sand sculptures such as the miniature Great Wall of China, original size elephant, the bizarre, the wild and whacky, and huge castle, some sculptures are 20 feet tall, people can just watch and relax or go for a swim in the sea, spectators can enjoy the local food and facilities such as washrooms, showers and wheel chair accessibility.
